You may have noticed the oversized pencils downtown-- or maybe the large book sculpture by the Library. Everett's got some pretty amazing outdoor art, and it's worth a stroll to check it out for yourself.
Everett Improv is an extremely flexible entertainment and education company tucked away in the "basement" of the Everett Public Market building. They offer classes covering an insane range of concepts (from character development to coping with anxiety to sketch writing and beyond), non-comedy events (like Painting Under The Influence and Karaoke Bar Night), and a wide variety of comedy shows at different venues across downtown.
It may be hard to believe, but Everett is in the midst of something of a musical renaissance. Everett Music Initiative is the group at the forefront of that movement - from monthly shows to their springtime multi-day event, Fisherman's Village Music Festival. If you're into music, you must check out Everett Music Initiative.
Everett's downtown art gallery is free 95%of the time. Tour the art, shop in the store, watch glass blowers and take some classes if you've got the time. The Schack is a must-visit on your trip.
