This year on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31, the City of Everett is considering hosting a downtown trick-or-treating event. The City would be closing a portion of the downtown to ensure the safety of children as they go business to business. Your business would be within the street closures. We are gathering information on your interest in participating.
Please see participation levels below for more information about what participation looks like.
Trick-or-Treat: Your business will remain open during the event hours, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31, and will pass out candy or other fun items to trick-or-treaters. We will feature your business on our trick-or-treat map and online, and we’ll provide you with a balloon and sign on Halloween day to signify your participation. Activity:In addition to trick-or-treating, your business would offer an activity (face painting, craft, 'haunted house', live music, etc.) for visiting families. “Bonus” activities will be highlighted on our website. Event sponsor: If your business is not within the designated area, or is not able to remain open during the event hours, you can still participate! Please contact us to learn more about sponsorship levels.
In addition to trick-or-treating downtown, the event will include a map of businesses participating in a 21+ Halloween Happy Hour.
Your business will remain open during the event hours (5-7 p.m.). To be included on the map, you would offer a happy hour special (example: $1 off regularly priced beers for the evening), 'themed' drink specials (example: pumpkin beers on tap, Halloween-named cocktails, etc.), or some type of event (costume contest, free giveaways).
